Following recent reimbursement payments received from the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management, the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) Forestry and Trust Lands Division is rescinding the stop work order issued on February 21, 2025.
Effective immediately, all existing federally funded projects, grants, subawards, and contracts under the U. S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management may resume normal operations.
What This Means for You
• Work May Resume: Work on existing U.S. Forest Service or BLM federally funded grants, contracts, subawards, and other projects may proceed as normal.
• Invoices & Payments: DNRC will continue processing invoices for work performed through February 21, 2025, and will begin processing invoices for work performed on or after March 18, 2025.
• Subrecipients are responsible for notifying their landowner beneficiaries, contractors, and/or any partners with whom they have a direct relationship.
