State of Montana March 3, 2026 Oil and Gas Lease Sale
The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation held the March 3, 2026 Oil and Gas Lease Sale through the online auction service, Efficient Markets. The First Quarter Oil and Gas Lease Sale opened on February 25, 2025 and closed on March 3, 2026. The First Quarter Oil and Gas Lease Sale included 18 tracts in the following counties: Garfield (4), Hill (2), Liberty (2), Petroleum (4), Richland (1), Rosebud (1), and Toole (4).
