    State of Montana March 3, 2026 Oil and Gas Lease Sale

    The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation will hold the March 3, 2026 Online Oil and Gas Lease Sale during the period of February 25 – March 3, 2026, hosted by the online auction service, EnergyNet.  The First Quarter Oil and Gas Lease Sale includes 47 tracts in the following counties: Dawson (2), Garfield (4), Hill (2), Liberty (2), McCone (27), Petroleum (4), Richland (1), Rosebud (1), and Toole (4).

    All sales will be by online auction bidding. DNRC is requesting comments from interested parties by January 16, 2026.
