    State of Montana December 2, 2025 Oil and Gas Lease Sale

    The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation held the December 2, 2025 Oil and Gas Lease Sale during the period of November 26 – December 2, 2025, hosted by the online auction service, EnergyNet. The December sale included 11 tracts in the following counties: Glacier (2), Golden Valley (5), Liberty (2), Pondera (1), and Toole (2). The quarterly oil and gas lease sale opened on November 26, 2025 and closed on December 2, 2025.
