The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) Conservation and Resource Development Division (CARDD) is issuing a Draft Environmental Assessment for the Butte Mining District Reclamation and Protection Project – Phase V. The project proposes to use American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to identify, excavate, collapse, and backfill of up to 200 linear feet of utility chases within the Anselmo and Steward Mineyards, rehabilitate tunnels, build foundations, windows, doors, roofs, and other historic elements, and installation of institutional controls such as parking areas and walkways.
