Yellowstone River Telecommunication Easements 2023-06-29
Closing Date: 08-06-2023
The Proponent, Triangle Communications, is requesting the following easements in the Yellowstone riverbed for the purpose of installing high-speed fiberoptic telecommunications lines:
Section 15, Township 1 South, Range 12 East: A 20’ wide, ±247.33 linear feet, easement approximately 5’ below the Yellowstone riverbed adjacent to the Highway 563 bridge encompassing ±0.11-acres (see Exhibit ‘A’).
Section 35, Township 1 North, Range 13 East: A 20’ wide, ±288.84 linear feet, easement approximately 5’ below the Yellowstone riverbed adjacent to the North Yellowstone Trail Road bridge encompassing ±0.13-acres (see Exhibit ‘B’).
The new easements are part of a larger project where Triangle Communications is installing, upgrading, and replacing portions of their telecommunications lines in rural Sweet Grass and Park Counties. The proposed project will directionally bore under the Yellowstone River and place a 1.25” conduit for telecommunications lines to run through. The conduit will be, at minimum, ±5’ below the rock bed of the Yellowstone River. The boring project consists of construction of small 4’x5’ vaults at both ingress and egress. Both points of ingress and egress at both locations will be outside the Yellowstone Riverbed and on private ownership.
The combined easements will encumber ±0.24-acres.
