Proposal includes encroached-conifer removal on approximately 200 acres adjacent to the proposed Polecat Timber Sale. Juniper and sub-merchantable Douglas-fir would be removed to promote rangeland vigor and reduce hazardous fuels along South Boulder Road for ingress/egress. The proposed project is adjacent to the proposed Polecat timber harvest area which will harvest roughly 880 MBF of Douglas-fir sawtimber on approximately 139 acres.
