The proposal seeks to commercially develop 20.0 acres of State Trust Land to build and maintain a natural gas compressor station with associated outbuildings and infrastructure, to include a small office building. The station would transfer natural gas from the main east-west pipeline and through the compressor station to customers and storage facilities across the state. According to NorthWestern Energy, this station is necessary based on current and expected community growth creating increased demand for natural gas. The location is approximately 1-mile south of the I-90 and Logan, MT.
