Havre Sand & Gravel, Inc. has applied for a Trust Lands aggregate take and remove permit in Blaine County, approximately 1.5 miles southwest of Lohman, MT. The proposed action is to amend the existing aggregate take and remove permit G-1162-88, to include an additional 22.2 acres for a total of 59.8 acres. 16 acres included in the proposed area, are non-bonded in the DEQ opencut permit, which means they are not eligible for disturbance until the acreage is bonded. For the purposes of this evaluation the expansion area of 59.8 acres will be referenced in this document as the project area. An aggregate take and remove permit is valid for approximately two years with an automatic renewal. Renewals will not be reevaluated by MEPA unless there are significant changes to operations.
