Interbel Underground 2025-03-20
Closing Date: 04-24-2025
InterBel Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (InterBel) is proposing to install new underground fiberoptic telecommunications facilities to extend their existing transport network. InterBel is locating the majority of these facilities along existing public roadways; however, Interbel will additionally install underground fiberoptic outside the public roadway and onto state land. Project areas include: Star Meadows Rd., Good Creek Rd., Radnor, Olney Loop Rd., Martin Camp Rd., Running Dog Rd., and Hwy. 93. This scoping notice is a requirement of any proposed right-of-way project. You are being contacted as records indicate you are a private property owner or Montana DNRC lessee either accessed by, in the vicinity of, or adjacent to Montana DNRC Trust Land.
Where fiberoptic will be installed within the existing right-of-way of the roads, it is assumed that no damages to property will be anticipated, and environmental impacts will be limited. This proposed utility easement in no way obligates you to sign up for services through InterBel. The Montana DNRC is in the scoping phase of the project environmental assessment. In preparation for this project, specialists such as wildlife biologists, hydrologists, soil scientists, and archeologists will be consulted. The Montana DNRC invites written comments or concerns relating to this proposal. Project dates are May 2025-November 2026.
