The proposed stock water improvements will consist of replacing an existing spring box and pipeline to an existing tank. The pipeline will be installed at a depth of 3 feet and immediately backfilled. The installation of this project is critical to the grazing management of this pasture. Duck Creek runs through the middle of the tract and does provide some water seasonally, but is unreliable, which limits the timing of grazing on this tract. In addition, another potential spring development is possible. There is a site on the tract that that was developed at an unknown time in the past, as there is a pipe exposed at the spring location. The site will be excavated to evaluate the potential for development. If developed, it will be much the same as described above, just with the addition of a new stock tank. This would allow the southern portion of the tract to be grazed more efficiently.
