3 Rivers Communications proposes to install a buried fiber optic telecommunications cable located on state land, referred to herein as the “Project”. The proposed easement route is located parallel to Black Leaf Cut across Road in the SE4NW4 and SW4SE4 of Section 11, T25N, R8W. Scott Hauer of H & H Land and Cattle is working with NRCS’s RCPP Program to replace existing fence to meet wildlife friendly specifications. This project located at T22N R20E Sec. 10 – NE4NE4, SE4NE4 and SW4NE4 will cross State lease 4656 and 10451. Both of which are held by H & H Land and Cattle. This project was originally planned as revamp of the existing fence. Where the fence would remain on its original line and wires and broken posts would be replaced. However, a modification has been requested to update the fence route to a straight line from the NE corner of section 10 to the SW corner of the SW4NE4. This amendment will shorten the overall length of the fence, requiring less overall material. It will also improve efficiency during installation and benefit livestock handling practices.

LTS Telecommunication Services (USA) Inc. is working on a large-scale fiber optic project to expand and strengthen telecommunication infrastructure. This project is intended to install 452 miles of buried fiberoptic infrastructure across Montana. The proposed project will include 11,237 feet of fiber optic on Trust Land. LTS Telecommunications is requesting 20-foot-wide right of way easement for permanent operation and maintenance.

On September 21, 2026, DNRC received an application from Musselshell County Road Department, henceforth referred to as proponent, to test for aggregate on State of Montana School Trust Lands. The application was made for Township 10N, Range 31E, Section 16 For Musselshell County. This checklist analysis, in conjunction with the programmatic analysis, will evaluate the impacts of an action alternative and no action alternative. The issuance of an aggregate testing permit allows the permittee to dig holes between 3ft and 20 ft in depth to observe and test the aggregate resource present. The proponent will salvage and replace topsoil and reseed disturbed areas with an approved seed mix.

The Proponent, Sheridan Electric is proposing to install a single-phase power line extension for Asgard Xl pad in Roosevelt County. There will be 5,210 FT of underground powerline located on the State Land. The Proposed line is 1” in diameter. The width Is 30ft for a total 3.59 acre easement. The requested easement is needed to provide electrical service to an existing Asgard xl well pad. Power would be needed to utilize well pad.

Spectrum Pacific West, LLC is requesting an easement across the Bitterroot River to install an underground fiber optics cable near Hamilton and Conner, MT. The proposal would provide high-speed internet and related services to residences and businesses. The project is located in the following areas: NE1/4 SE1/4 of section 26 T6N R221W, SE1/4 SE1/4 of section 7 T2N R20W, SE1/4 SE1/4 of section 17 T2N R20W, NW1/4 SW1/4 of section 22 T2N R20W.

The Town of Twin Bridges has applied for two Navigable Waters Utility Right-of-Way Easements to install a new public water main and a sewer main under a navigable portion of the Beaverhead River to expand these services in the area. The water main will encumber an area that is 86.80 feet long by 20 feet wide for 0.04 acres more or less. The sewer main will encumber an area that is 72.28 feet long by 20 feet wide for 0.03 acres more or less.
