Watershed Study

The Teton Watershed study characterizes the surface water hydrology and to a lesser extent the hydrogeology of the Teton River watershed. The goal of the study is to improve the understanding of the water supply and demands in the watershed as well as the effects of dewatering the river.

Study Objectives

  • Characterize the surface water hydrology of the Teton River and its tributaries
  • Investigate impacts of dewatering the shallow ground water aquifer
  • Summarize hydrologic data and analysis in a report that communicates both a general and detailed understanding of the Teton Watershed.
  • Provide hydrologic data and analysis that supports drought planning, improvements in water use efficiency and water use administration.
