Montana Range Tour

The Montana Range Tour is an annual event that is held in a different location of the state each year. The Tour provides the opportunity for farmers, ranchers, agricultural organizations, land management agencies and the general public to share information and gain increased expertise on natural resource issues, notably on agricultural lands.

Leopold Conservation Award

Award The Leopold Conservation Award Program recognizes agricultural landowners actively committed to a land ethic. Working with prominent state conservation partners, Sand County Foundation presents the prestigious honor, which consists of $10,000 and a crystal award, in settings that showcase the landowners’ achievements among their peers. The Rangeland Resources Program coordinated with the Montana Department of Agriculture to create these education projects. Each project contains a poster, visual aids and lesson plans written to Montana Office of Public Instruction standards.
