Range Leader Award
The Rangeland Resources Executive Committee (RREC) is pleased to announce the “Range Leader of the Year Award” program. The RREC would like to honor and acknowledge the rangeland stewards and upstanding managers of the state by presenting an award to one producer and one agency personnel or consultant each year. This award is open to anyone in Montana and is not limited to agencies, organizations or groups. Applications are accepted through October 31 of each year. Awards will be presented during the banquet at the annual State Winter Grazing Seminar.
2010 Range Leaders of the Year were awarded to Verna Billedeaux, Blackfeet Extension Agent in Browning, MT and Steve Wood, rancher from Sheridan, MT.
2009 Range Leaders of the Year were awarded to Gene Surber, private consultant from Belgrade, MT and Bob and Debbie Gibbs, ranchers from Winnett, MT.

2008 Range Leaders of the Year were awarded to John Oiestad, NRCS in Harlowton, MT and Mark Lewis, rancher from Winnett, MT.
