Scoping
Scoping is the initial comment period that is used by the Planning Team to collect input for the development of the HCP and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). A 30-day scoping period commenced with publication of the Notice of Intent in the Federal Register on April 28, 2003. During the 60-day scoping period, comment was received through written and electronic correspondences and at public meetings held in Bozeman, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula.
